'But I donít want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you canít help that,' said the Cat. 'Weíre all mad here.'

Ok so I started this a while ago, it was originally my piece for the art contest American McGee held for his then upcoming release of Alice: Madness Returns. However upon hearing the contest was only accepting US submissions I decided to take my time on it and turn it into more of a general Alice homage.

Absolutely beautiful... I love the new way you've drawn them, especially the Caterpillar with his gas mask and the March Hare with a teapot down his throat. Very creative. I adore this!

Thank you! It's good that there're specific little details you like. It was enjoyable coming up with ideas for the characters that hadn't been done before :) glad you like!

This is such brilliant work. So imaginative...I love all the little details used to make the characters yours, in a way, e.g. the Mad Hatter bleeding from the ears, the Cheshire cat half-zombified, the Caterpillar with the gas mask. Must have taken a while to get it all together!
Very neat lines, too, for such an involved piece. A standout Alice piece - well done

Thanks for the wonderful comment! Yeah I think the challenge was designing the characters and making them unique. The Wonderland cast have been done in loads've interpretations, so trying to do something different in each while keeping the original feel was tough. But makes it worth while if people like it :D

I know what you mean, I don't think I'll attempt an Alice fanart again until I think of something totally mind-blowing :D
I thought maybe you would have reverted to the American McGee Alice for this (which a lot of people seem to do as son as they give Wonderland a macabre feel), but I like that you kept Alice sort of 'Disney'-looking, then threw in your own ideas

Funny you say that, I did the blonde hair first, then tried Alice as the dark brunette American McGee style to see what it looked like. In the end I really wanted to stick more to the original colours from the Disney/Book format.

Also, bonus points for the Jefferson Airplane lyric in the title
